Using video to revamp your business

We have officially launched our new video service called GRM Productions, delivering bespoke video, filming underwater and aerially over land and sea. This new full-service video offering can cover each stage of your project, from planning and production through to post-production edits.

So, why is video important for your business?

Video content is a great tool to use for educating your potential buyers about a particular product or service. 94% of marketers have agreed that using video content increases your audience's understanding of a product or service. Video content also influences your return on investment, with 83% of marketers agreeing that video content leads to a suitable return on investment. This depends on the organisation's content strategy and quality of the video.

According to the official YouTube blog, audiences watch over a billion hours of YouTube content every day. This suggests that creating content on YouTube can lead to a higher engagement and/or following for your business. Twitter also revealed that there are two billion views on its platform every day, with video content receiving 10 times more engagement than posts without video. Additionally, Facebook has over eight billion video views every day, with 85% of those being watched without sound.

Utilising video content can also have a positive impact on your business’s SEO. Uploading videos to YouTube that focus on joint search terms can be a great way to get your business popping up on the first page of Google. This is because Google incorporates YouTube videos at the top of each page for several search terms.

With the mass production of content across platforms, video continues to hold one of the top spots for engaging audiences. We have some of the best tools on the market to deliver what many companies don’t - bespoke, in-house, edited video content for your business. Our chief services include Aerial Drone Video, Underwater Drone Video and Recovery, and Video Coverage on the water. There is also room for cross platform videography projects, such as combined drone and GoPro capabilities as well as using the media coverage RIB.

Our videographer has some tips on filming content for your business that includes people:

1. Communication is key – always allow the person who you are filming to feel comfortable and confident in the project.

2. The camera can be intimidating so it is a good idea to remember why you are there and be confident enough to know what you are going to talk about.

3. Treat the exercise like a conversation between you and your interviewer. As an interviewer, you should avoid asking questions that can be answered with a yes or no.

4. Keep your points clear and concise.

5. As an interviewer, avoid talking over the person you are filming and allow them to take their time to consider the question before answering. This will allow more freedom for the editing process.
