Objective: To Develop a World class marine event and to recognise the natural assets that the island of Tiree, Scotland has. To work with an Island community and manage the challenges of infrastructure and transport links.

Strategy: GRM started this event by brainstorming the perfect location for a 'Challenge event' such as the Wave Classic. Tiree was recognised as being the ideal venue for wave sailing. However, Island resources were slim. GRM took care of all logistics involved such as accommodation, food and supply availability and medical assistance.

Go-Live: GRM not only aided in the development and successful running of the event, but televised the Tiree Wave Classic distributing the programme to 52 Nations worldwide. As part of our creative we brought great acts such as highly-sought musician Amy MacDonald and Paolo Nutini. These artistes were part of the process that has now developed into Tiree Music Festival.

Outcome: This event has become a successful annual event that occurs every October on the island of Tiree. The island itself has benefitted 
enormously economically, as well as becoming a top tourist destination for wave sailing. The start of the the Tiree Wave Classic has also resulted in the creation of employment and windsurfing Businesses on the island.
